1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. Lawyers must submit valid credentials for verification before offering services.

2. User Roles

The system supports three roles: Clients, Lawyers, and Admins.

3. Services Provided

• AI-Powered Legal Chatbot – Provides automated legal information (not formal legal advice).
• Lawyer Matching – Complex cases may be referred to verified lawyers.
• Legal Document Generator – Create standardized legal documents.
• Case Management Tools – Includes case statements, progress tracking, notifications, and secure document storage.

4. Case Handling Rules

Clients may submit only one active case at a time. Once closed, they may open a new one. Lawyers may accept or reject cases. The Admin oversees compliance.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data and case records are stored securely. By using AccessLaw, you consent to data collection and processing in line with our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

AccessLaw is not liable for damages due to downtime, data loss, or reliance on AI or lawyer advice. Services are provided "as is".

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our services. By accessing or using AccessLaw, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Personal Information – name, email address, phone number, and account details.
• Legal Case Data – case statements, descriptions, and uploaded documents.
• Chat History – encrypted communication between clients and lawyers, viewable only by the parties involved.
• Lawyer Credentials – identification documents and professional licenses for verification.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to provide AI-powered legal guidance, facilitate communication between clients and lawyers, generate case documents, securely store case files and encrypted chats, verify lawyers, and improve system functionality.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We only share your data in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Your information may be disclosed only with your consent, with assigned lawyers (for case handling), with system administrators (excluding encrypted chat history), or when required by law, court order, or lawful government authority.

4. Data Security

All sensitive files and chat history are stored in encrypted form. Only you and your assigned lawyer can view chats. Admins cannot access encrypted chats. We apply encryption and role-based access controls to safeguard your data.

5. Data Retention

Case records and documents are stored only as long as necessary. You may request deletion of your account and related data, subject to legal requirements.

6. Your Rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, as well as withdraw consent for certain uses.

7. Cookies and Tracking

AccessLaw uses cookies and tokens (e.g., Laravel Sanctum) for secure session management only.

8. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of AccessLaw means you accept the updated Policy.
